Mr & Mrs Armstrong

On March 3rd 2012, my good friend (and one of my oldest as in longest, not age!) Louise got hitched to her fabulous beau Paul. The day threatened with rain, but held off pretty much all day so as not to spoil.

Now my memories of Louise (sorry Lou!) are camping in the said rain, with our prospective families, up in the good old Scottish countryside of Kenmore, on the banks of Loch Tay. Here our daily activities (apart from getting wet!) were water skiing and visiting the campsite shop for sweets and stickers!! But Louise varied it slightly with the odd poking-out-fish-eyes-session! Not a squeamish one at all!! Those were the days......
So now we're responsible adults (???) she decided she'd marry her fiance Paul and asked me take her photos and of course I said yes. I arrived at The Hilton in Gateshead to find Paul calm and collected with his groomsmen, in the foyer, dressed to the nines. A few shots here with family and the boys then I headed upstairs to see Louise. As I arrived she was being pampered by Bev in the form of having her hair done, whilst elder sister Sarah & chief bridesmaid helped Louise's god-daughter Chloe into her bridesmaid dress. Mother of the bride, Mammy Sue (as we like to call her!) was already ready and looked stunning and wore a radiant smile.
The time came for Louise to put on her dress and it was beautiful. A simple beautiful shape but full of sparkle. Gorgeous! Now off to the church - St. Mary's RC Church in Whickham.
After a lovely service, we all headed back to The Hilton, where the red carpet was waiting for all of the wedding guests. Photos were taken on the balcony with The Tyne Bridge as a backdrop then the call for food being served was given. A delicious meal was had by one and all and we were entertained by a magician whilst we ate.
Louise's Dad, also a Paul, is in a band that then performed for us all in between the day and night do. Even Louise's Granpa got up and danced!

Much merriment was had by everybody and all agreed that it was indeed a fabulous day for two very fabulous people.

Thank you again Louise & Paul for asking me to record your very special day. Congratulations to you both once again xx

A bit of romance

So Friday brought a bit of romance to my wee studio. Michelle and Justin in fact. Although - it very nearly didn't happen, with Justin not being to well but he managed to pull himself round last minute.

Michelle had contacted me in regards to the shoot as the beau in question works for the RAF and is being posted away for 4 months in the next couple of weeks. Boo hiss I hear you cry!
Well fear not, as the idea of the shoot was to create some beautiful photos for them both to treasure until Justin gets home.
Here's a few favourites :)

Introducing Master & Miss Phillips

Last week I headed off to Whitley Bay, to see the lovely Jane, a fabulous lady I used to work with many a year ago (we'll not divulge how many!) and her newly born set of twins, Jensen Mark Phillips and Isabella Fleur Phillips.

I was greeted at the door by Jane and Amy the dog, who is VERY cute but VERY protective over her new family members! Jane told me to make a fuss of her first then she allows you to go near the babies. It worked! A quick rub of the tummy and a scratch behind her ears and she gave me permission to have a quick cuddle, firstly of Isabella. Now, I was in all black, (bonkers I know when going to see babies!) and Jane started to tell me how both of the twins hadn't been well over the past 24 hours, especially Isabella, who was constantly being sick! But fortunately (for me and her!) no bodily fluids were spilled!
Little Jensen was upstairs asleep, still with a high temperature, whilst I had a quick cuddle of Isabella and Jane made her top up feed. Once we made sure the milk was staying where it ought to, we started the photoshoot.

For both babies to be under the weather, they were incredibly gorgeous! The only peep we had was from Isabella who clearly isn't a hat girl! Remove the offending garment - happy as larry! And as for Mr Laidback Jensen - we prodded and poked and posed and bent him into positions, pulling hats on and off without him batting an eyelid!

So speaking of poses I best let you have a look! Enjoy :)
