Mr & Mrs Evans

After publishing the most recent weddings, I decided to look back at my first wedding job, that of Lisa & Alan Evans' wedding in 2009.

I don't think I've ever been that nervous!! But, the ever so fantastically lovely Lisa made me feel right at home.

So like I say, I thought I'd share this first one with you. :)

Mr & Mrs Atherton!

So, the day eventually arrived for my cousin Mike and his lovely fiance Ruth, to tie the knot!
As I headed over to Kendal in the Lake District, my thoughts were on the weather, as we all know, the Lake District doesn't have the best track record with sunshine!
As I arrived at Ruth's house, it just started to drizzle, and drizzle it did for the rest of the day!
But that didn't dampen spirits (just hair!) and I found Ruth very calm and collected, being pampered and enjoying her champers.

After a few photos here, obviously including the fabulous dress, that just emphasised her super model height, I headed off to the beautiful church in Casterton, where all the guests were assembled, awaiting her arrival.
And arrive she did.
After a few words with the Reverend, Ruth walked down the aisle to "The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba", looking every inch the beautiful bride.

After the service, Mike & Ruth left the church to "The Wedding March" and made their way, in a champagne filled 1935 Rolls Royce 20/25 named "Vincent" to their reception at Beech Hill Hotel,  on the banks of Lake Windermere.

The weather didn't get any better with the fine drizzle still very much in attendance, but it still didn't stop our Bride and Groom and out we ventured to the jetty into the lake, for a few photos. Despite the weather I think those photos are my favourites.

So - I'll let you now have a look through a selection of their photos, including my favourites, and toast the Bride and Groom - Congratulations Mr & Mrs Atherton. Thank you for letting me record your special day x
