The little miracle! :)

Well Good Friday turned out to be just that!

It was our first meeting with our 4 month old great niece Amelia, who was born at 25 weeks and weighed just 2lbs.
Now she's a fabulous 7lbs and still going!
She is such an alert and happy little girl and has two very proud (albeit) tired parents!!

So down to Leeds we travelled where, Amelia and her Mummy Katie and Daddy Ollie, had travelled up from Worcester, to spend a week "'ooop north", for Amelia to meet the northern relatives.
Beautiful sunshine shone for us all day and upon arriving I was lucky enough to have a HUGE cuddle from the wee lass. :))))
I had to take my camera as I wouldn't have forgiven myself if I didn't capture her gorgeousness!
We all had a wonderful day and Im so very glad she's fought and fought and I can tell she'll continue to do so.
Lovely to meet you at long last Amelia - looking forward to the next xxxxx

Howay the Lads!

By the title you've obviously guessed it's a footy related blog!

So my son was invited to his friends 7th birthday party, but not just any party, a football party! These young chaps, eat, sleep and breathe football at the moment so this was a party
heaven sent!

As the Friday sun shone, we hoped and prayed that Saturday would also deliver with some sunny spells - and we weren't disappointed! It was glorious. But that made for thirsty little footballers! Still, the heat didn't knock them but seemed to egg them on even more.
Arguments with the referee, pushing, shoving, free kicks and almost a sending off!!
(and that was one of the Dad's too!)

But all boys had a ball. (*ahem - excuse the pun!) Especially, birthday boy Alfie.
So here's a little taster of how they faired :)

Get in the ring!

Last week found me in the Old Assembly Rooms in Newcastle, with an invitation to the Clubs For Young People (Northumberland branch) boxing dinner. Invited by an old school friend, who is the head honcho for the Northumberland branch, to take some action shots of the young boxers themselves.

Well, being a mother, as soon as the wee 'uns stepped into the ring, I just wanted to hug them - & that was before any of them ended up with bloodied noses! (and there were a few - and yes - I ended up being splattered!!)

But I did enjoy myself and hoped I'd managed to capture some shots for Jon to use in future for the charity. :))

Sunderland's

Yes you read it right, but there were no red and white stripes involved!
This is the lovely Sunderland Family, whose cheeky little faces I captured on Monday evening after school.

I've taken photos of these youngsters in the past and they are the craziest, funniest bunch of kids ever! Great fun to be around :))
