The Taylors

Well, after much anticipation, a hen and a stag do (each with fabulous outfits but that's a WHOLE different blog!) Saturday May 14th eventually arrived. With it also arrived the obligatory bundles of nerves, popping of champagne corks and plenty of smiles. It also, luckily, brought good weather and plenty of good friends together.

I headed to Donna's house, to meet the bride as she finally put on THE dress! Stunning dress I should say. She looked gorgeous (but I wasn't allowed to say that as she said it would make her cry!) After a few photos with family, we headed into the car for the journey to meet her other half John, at St John's Church, Greenside, where his Grandma and Great Grandma had also been married.

Along the way there were a couple of showers but by the time she arrived it had passed and the sun shone again. As her sister, who gave her away, sorted the dress and calmed her nerves, John sat at the front looking very dashing wearing a HUGE grin, and the Bridal Chorus started to play. In came the bride.........

The service was lovely, with the vicar looking genuinely happy to be marrying John & Donna. Once the service was over, the bride & groom left the church to A Midsummer Night's Dream, and glorious sunshine waiting outside.

A few photos were taken here both inside and outside of the church and then we headed off to the reception where the fun and games started.
There were even a few celebrities who dropped in!

But I think I can safely say that John & Donna had an absolute ball that day, & Im so very glad to have been able to record it in some pictures below. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Taylor! x
